During my recent stay at the Casterbridge in the charming town of Dorchester, I was thoroughly impressed by the exquisite blend of comfort and history that this Georgian property offered. Our spacious room, complete with modern amenities and soundproofing, provided a tranquil retreat after exploring the local sights, including the nearby Thomas Hardy's Cottage. Breakfast in the lovely conservatory was a highlight, with the deliciously cooked vegetarian options satisfying both my adventurous palate and that of my travel companion. Noorani, the gracious owner, not only made us feel at home but also provided invaluable recommendations for local dining experiences, embodying the warm hospitality that is sometimes hard to find. With walking distance to delightful restaurants and the town center, the Casterbridge became our ideal base for both relaxation and exploration. I wholeheartedly recommend this gem for anyone seeking a beautiful getaway infused with friendly service and local charm.
